This past January, before the COVID-19 mess, my family went to Disney.  On our way down, we overnighted in Savannah.  We got there early enough to check out a few places, the Savannah Children's Museum, Savannah History Museum, and the Georgia State Railway Museum.  All three locations are pretty much on the same block.  If you have kids, the museums offer a combination ticket that allows you to visit all three locations at a discount and is valid over three days.  If you do not have kids, or they are too old for the children's museum - the combination ticket may also be used at Old Fort Jackson, Pinpoint Heritage Museum, or the Harper Fowlkes House.   The 170 foot long Jay Covered Bridge spanning the East Branch of the Ausable River in the Essex County town of Jay, New York , was built in 1857 by George M. Burt. It is listed on the New York State Register of Historic Places and is the only remaining Howe truss designed covered bridge in the Adirondacks. Of the all covered bridges in New York, only two can be found in the Adirondacks and both happen to be located just downstream of waterfalls. The Copeland Covered Bridge in the Saratoga County town of Edinburg is the other one. The bridge crosses the river just below Jay Falls , a broad set of falls that that drop about 10 feet over several tiers. The first covered bridge in this location was destroyed by flooding in 1856. Northern California contains a curiosity in the form of the segmented California State Route 271.  California State Route 271 exists in two segments which were both once US Route 101.  According to California Highways as of 1995 California State Route 271 ("CA 271") had an overall 15 miles assigned over two segments.  CA 271 as noted above consists of former segments of US Route 101 ("US 101") which are located mostly in Mendocino County.  According to 1995 traffic statistics CA 271 has one of the lowest average daily traffic counts which ranges from 90 vehicles a day to 980.  The northern segment of CA 271 begins at US 101 in Cooks Valley of Humboldt County which can be seen depicted in the Caltrans Post Mile Tool: The northern segment of CA 271 ends on a dead end road south of Piercy near US 101 Exit 625.
