Gribblenation

I first visited California State Route 75 back in 2010 while on a weekend trip out of Phoenix. Recently in 2019 I revisited CA 75 while on a trip out of Central California. CA 75 is a 13 mile north/south state highway which loops from I-5.  CA 75 loops from I-5 in San Diego southward via the San Diego-Coronado Bridge over San Diego Bay, the City of Coronado, Silver Strand and back to I-5 in the outskirts Imperial Beach.  CA 75 wasn't one of the original Signed State Highways from 1934 but rather was unsigned Legislative Route 199.  LRN 199 became CA 75 at least by 1938 as it appears on state highway maps. 1938 California State Highway Map Prior to 1968 CA 75 had a north terminus in Coronado.  The 1935 California Divisions of Highways Map indicates the route of LRN 199/CA 75 essentially is the same as it is today. 1935 California Divisions of Highways San Diego County Map Originally CA 75 ended on Orange Avenue at 1st Street in Coronado at the San Diego-C...
