Stayton Jordan Covered Bridge


Spanning across the Salem Power Canal in Stayton, Oregon's Pioneer Park is the Stayton Jordan Covered Bridge. The covered bridge serves as a scenic covered footbridge near an area that is Oregon's covered bridge country. While the Stayton Jordan Covered Bridge is a relatively new bridge, it is not the first covered bridge at this location, as the original Jordan Covered Bridge was brought over from neighboring Linn County during the 1980s and unfortunately burned down in 1994. I do remember the old bridge from a visit to Oregon in 1991, so I was surprised to see a new covered bridge in its place when I took these photos in 2006.
